'Boot Dusseldorf' 2023
First appointment for the boating industry in 2023: 'Boot Düsseldorf', the largest water sports fair in the world, is scheduled from 21 to 29 January, with 1,500 exhibitors, 17 pavilions occupied, 60 countries present. Massive presence of Italian shipyards, both sailing and motor.
Ferretti Group will be present with a world première: Ferretti Yachts 580. Over 18 meters long and 5 meters wide, Yachts 580 is the result of collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee, chaired by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. Once again, the architect Filippo Salvetti designed the exteriors, who with this model reaches the sixth boat for the brand, while the collaboration with the Ideaeitalia studio continues for the interior design. Among the novelties, the wide possibility of customization both on the main deck and on the lower deck, which offers two layouts, both with three cabins. Ferretti Yachts 580 will be available in two versions Classic and Contemporary. The first recalls the warm elements of the earth, while the Contemporary is inspired by the colors of the sea, with bright essences and fabrics with fresh shades.
Azimut will exhibit the new S7 as a world premiere, a newcomer to the S Series, a sports yacht. Born from the inspiration of Alberto Mancini for the design of the exteriors, the 22-metre is part of the Azimut Low Emission yacht category. It is a boat capable of combining a sporting soul and reduced environmental impact. This is possible because the S7 is the result of the most technologically advanced solutions in the nautical sector which are declined in an extensive use of carbon fiber aimed at lightening the overall weight of the boat, a very efficient propulsion guaranteed by three Volvo IPS engines and lines hull, designed with PL Ausonio Naval Architecture, perfectly optimized. All of these innovations have a specific purpose: the reduction of consumption and consequently of CO2 emissions, which at medium and high speeds can reach up to -30%, guaranteeing performance without equal in the category. Furthermore, the use of carbon and the compact propulsion allow for larger internal volumes, with more space on board for the noble areas.
On the other hand, the Pearl 72 by Pearl Yachts makes its European debut. In terms of layout, the vessel features a great novelty for this class: two owner's cabins. One is located forward with a private entrance, as is usually the case on much larger yachts, and the second is full beam amidships. As well as being an ideal solution for co-owners who enjoy the yacht together, this arrangement allows owners to enjoy good views even when moored stern-first in a harbour. There are two further double cabins with en-suite bathrooms and crew quarters, plus a garage with space for a William 345 tender (or similar) and jet ski.
Besenzoni also arrives at the German show with a new entry, in particular, which enriches the company's division of low environmental impact products, the BeElectric Hard Top with adjustable slats. Accessory that can be requested in different sizes and adapted to boats of different sizes, has structure and sliding guides in painted aluminum in order to guarantee a long life and greater resistance to atmospheric agents. The roof slides back and forth electrically but can also be requested in the fixed version, maintaining the adjustability of the slats .
And then Lomac, the Milanese shipyard of the Lo Manto family, leader in the construction and marketing of design inflatable boats, will bring two of its most popular models to the Superboats pavilion (Hall 5) dedicated to luxury ribs, tenders and chase-boats: the GranTurismo 12.0 and the Adrenalina 10.5, in addition to the new entry-level 7.0.
Halls 15 and 16 of the fair will be dedicated to sailing with over 100 exhibitors: “almost all the brands are on board. By this I mean – explains the director Petros Michelidakis – both the big players in the sector and the young emerging startups. Thanks to them and to our initiatives, such as Start Sailing or the platforms in the Sailing Center with the sailing and class associations and the famous partner regattas, Boot Düsseldorf represents the most important indoor fair of sporting events related to sailing".
