A new daysailer inspired by the art de vivre of the Côte d'Azur

Built in Brittany FR and presented at Boot Düsseldorf

And you

Inspired by the art de vivre of the fascinating Côte d'Azur and the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean, L'Été is the new daysailer by the French studio Thomas Tison Yacht Design & Engineering, presented during the Boot in Düsseldorf.

Thomas Tison describes L'Été as: “A daysailer that allows you to easily access the pleasures of sailing and share them with friends and family. It is a fast and easily manoeuvrable boat. To bring its organic shapes to life, we chose fine woods and advanced composite materials.

Summer is the time when sailors make the most of their boat: it is possible to gather on board with friends and family to spend precious time together, and when you are alone, rediscover the pleasure of sailing alone.
From the choice of materials and technological components to the stylistic and layout choices, L'Été is designed to be a platform that allows you to share emotions with guests on board and give pleasure at sea.
The boat's name, summer in French, embodies the philosophy of this 12m.
The perfect weekend for the L' Été owner: setting sail with friends on Friday, sailing solo on Saturday, and at anchor on Sunday with the family.

Sailing on a light, fast and maneuverable boat

Thomas Tison has extensive experience designing carbon fiber boats and components. He is currently in his fourth participation in the America's Cup, and is collaborating with Team INEOS Britannia. The use of carbon fiber for the deck, keel and rudder has made it possible to keep the weight low: L'Été weighs only 3700 kg. The electric winches that adjust the jib and the mainsail make it easy and precise to control the sails within everyone's reach.
Replicating the choice made for Elida, the 15m full custom launched in Germany last August, the hull of L'Été is in wood. Inside the French studio's new daysailer, we can find many of the choices studied for the full custom project that led Thomas Tison's team to test the properties of the material chosen for the hull in the Airbus laboratories.
The lines desired by Thomas Tison offer large spaces on deck and enhance the timeless value and elegance of wood.
“Maneuverable, light and fast, this boat demonstrates her great potential both in racing and cruising”

One might fear that the high technology on board could limit the emotions at sea, but the tiller wheel chosen for this daysailer offers an engaging cruising experience.
The seats are in an off-centre position to allow for an even more direct connection with the sea and the waves, while also allowing for a breathtaking view of the boat and the surrounding environment.

Welcoming guests on board
The other strong point of this boat is to ensure comfort on board in convivial moments with guests.
The welcoming and spacious full beam cockpit extends from the transom to the mast.
Once the anchor is dropped, the stern sunbeds are sheltered by a parasol, and L'Eté becomes a Mediterranean house located on the seafront.

Among the optionals available we also find an inflatable platform to ensure easy access to snorkelling activities.
The internal layout has been designed to create a perfect day room for socialising, as in the luxury beach clubs of the Côte d'Azur . The 1.3 m wide hatch ensures easy access below decks, from a height of 1.75 m. This comfortable space offers the possibility of sheltering from the midday sun and at the same time continuing to converse with those remaining in the cockpit. The dayroom is equipped with air conditioning, two touchscreen displays, a fridge for cold drinks and fresh food, and large stowage areas.
The ceiling is covered with a layer of gold and helps reduce weight and maximizes the natural light that enters the deckhouse. A spacious toilet, accessible from the outside, offers privacy.
L'Été also has a four-metre garage dedicated to water toys such as electric surfboards, stand up paddles and diving equipment.

Built in Brittany, France, the 12-metre long L'Été will be available within 9 months of ordering.
'L'Été is a unique daysailer, for those looking for speed, a timeless design and quality construction.”
