An invisible yacht

New concept for the future

Pegasus

Modernity, or better yet the future, confronts us with new ideas, innovative solutions and rather particular choices. And thanks to modernity, a yacht is born that is by no means small, a good 88 meters in size but invisible… let's find out why. We're talking about Pegasus, the concept of a yacht that intends to rewrite the rules of seaworthiness in some way. In short, not only is this boat (almost) completely invisible, thus offering a unique experience for those on board, who can thus enjoy an all-encompassing experience of the sea; but it also offers a series of alternative solutions with the aim of impacting as little as possible on the environment. These innovations affect both the design and physical production of the vehicle and its own engines; the latter, in fact, shows the most solidarity with the environmental battles that are heating up the discussions on mobility (of whatever type). So let's find out down to the smallest details of what Pegasus is and above all what it is like, the 88-metre yacht ready to rewrite the laws of the sea!

We are perhaps talking about the most ambitious project, or at least one of the most, in the nautical world. It all started from the mind of Jozeph Forakis, designer of Pegasus, driven by the ardent goal of giving life to a boat model, a luxury boat, that was as close as possible to the sea and nature. An idea that has found its form in invisibility, or at least the conceptual one. Forakis commented on his work: "The time has come for bold leaps towards our collective sustainable future. Pegasus is a bold but achievable vision for the near future of the superyacht industry, where man and machine live in harmony. " with the environment rather than competing with it and even worse compromising it.In this design studio - concludes Jozeph -, our experience in designing in many sectors gives us a unique exposure and perspective for various new technologies and vertical innovations" .

Pegasus, in fact, is a mega boat made entirely with 3D printing, and this is already enough to understand the uniqueness of the project. But that's not all, what distinguishes this very latest (or rather future) generation superyacht even more is its nature that can be defined as a "zero-emission solar-electric/hydrogen hybrid"; a completely innovative engine that seeks to offer new solutions for the future of the sector. Obviously however, what is most striking is the aesthetics of this very particular ship; or rather its "non-aesthetic". Indeed, Pegasus is there but would not like to be seen; on the contrary, it would like in all respects to be one with the water, with the sea on which it rests. And it is precisely the invisibility of the bodywork - forget the automotive term - that represents the strength (and distinction) of this superb 88-metre yacht!

But the beauty and extraordinaryness of Pegasus does not stop only on the outside. The interiors of this superyacht hide, so to speak, wonders such as the so-called "Tree of Life". This is the true fulcrum of this boat, at least as regards the interior design; a real architectural lung dedicated to Mother Nature and at the same time the nucleus of a hydroponic garden (i.e. out of the ground), which arises from a reflecting pool positioned on the lower deck and is surrounded by an immense Zen-style garden.

The tree of life is spread over all four floors available to Pegasus, floors connected to each other by a particular "green" spiral staircase. Furthermore, the task of this phantom "shrub" would be to provide fresh food and purify the air on board the ship. But the interiors of the yacht certainly don't end here... On board the Pegasus, in fact, there are very large halls in which it is possible to experience firsthand this peculiar union between design and nature; thanks to the vegetation present and a 360° view of the surrounding sea. But there are also various pools, a helipad, an oversized hot tub, sundecks, beach clubs, and flip-down balconies.
