Jozeph Forakis, international designer, presented his visionary and revolutionary project. It will be launched by 2030 and is called Pegasus : it is the first superyacht in the world that uses robotic 3D printing. The hybrid boat measures 88 meters and runs on solar-electricity and hydrogen with zero emissions and infinite autonomy.
Pegasus is a futuristic yacht conceived on a beach on the island of Koufonissi, in Greece. The inspiration for the revolutionary vessel was the sea and nature. Designer Jozeph Forakis wanted to create a yacht made of clouds that would float above the horizon line. Indeed, his 3D printed yacht seems to blend into the landscape and disappear thanks to a transparent design that minimizes its environmental impact.
Pegasus measures 88 meters and uses robotic 3D printing to create a mesh structure that integrates both hull and superstructure. The team of the international design studio Forakis has designed a yacht capable of combining the most advanced existing and developing technologies to achieve unprecedented levels of sustainability, autonomy and structural integrity. The result is an unprecedented yacht that runs on solar-electric and hydrogen energy with zero emissions and infinite range and features an extraordinarily light and strong structure compared to conventional constructions.
