Design solutions developed to break down the barriers between inside and outside to bring the sea and nature closer together and technologies to reduce the environmental impact. These are the objectives pursued by Azimut which today sees more than half of its fleet made up of "low emission yachts" combined with the Oasis Deck by Benetti which represents a revolution in the history of nautical design.
With the new Seadeck series, the Italian shipyard is putting all its efforts in terms of reducing CO2 emissions into practice, approaching in advance the 40% target set by the International Marine Association for 2030. Seadeck is the first series in the world that has already 60 feet integrates Volvo Penta hybrid propulsion, on-board systems to reduce consumption and solutions to reduce emissions including over 40% of surface in carbon, the most efficient planing hull ever, zero-emission stops at anchor thanks to the last generation. The adoption of these strategies has made possible a combination that will allow the reduction of up to 40% of CO2 emissions in a year of average use, between navigation and stops at anchor, compared to a traditional flybridge boat of similar dimensions.
The Seadeck series represents the new cruising boat which for the first time in this segment combines large spaces on board with a totally open aft lounge, which gives the feeling of "embracing" the sea.
It's called "Fun Island" and represents a reimagined on-board environment that offers at the same time a more immersive experience in nature and a new way of being together on the boat, because when the large windows are open, interiors and exteriors become a single open space facilitating interaction even with those in the water. “It is the space, real and symbolic, of «fun» – underlined Giovanna Vitelli, president of the Azimu Benetti group – Seadeck is a new starting point for future generations. We wish, once again, to trace a route that is of inspiration for the whole industry, so that the theme of respect for the environment is interpreted - as well as for Seadeck - with a concrete approach made up of investments, technological research and the courage to introduce a new lifestyle that embraces the sea”.
For the new Seadeck series, Azimut made use of the collaboration with designers who shared the ideal of returning to nature , namely Alberto Mancini and Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez who emphasized the concept of openness, transparency by proposing a radical change relationship with nature, favoring natural or recycled materials (for example, cork instead of teak). Seadek 6, the first of the three models in the new range, will be presented at Boot Düsseldorf 2024, followed by Seadeck 7 and Seadeck 8 between 2024 and 2025.
