In 2024 the mega yacht Somnio will be launched , which is both a cruise ship and a luxury condominium. The passengers will in fact be exclusively the privileged owners of the 39 apartments spread over the six decks , equipped with kitchen, library, gym, indoor and outdoor dining rooms, and customizable with any sort of amenity you desire.
It will be fitted out in the Norwegian shipyards of the Vard group, owned by the Italian Fincantieri, integrating state-of-the-art technologies. With its 222 meters in length it will become a record-breaking yacht , the largest to ever sail the seas. Homeowners will enjoy a service similar to that of an ultra-luxury hotel. Among other things, the ship will have several bars and restaurants, a cellar stocked with 10,000 bottles of wine , a beach club equipped with water sports facilities, a panoramic lounge on the bow and high-level medical assistance. In addition, it will provide researchers with equipment and instruments to conduct studies on marine environments. Unlike a tourist cruise ship, the residential yacht's journey has no end: it will sail non-stop through the world's oceans, following an itinerary jointly defined by the residents.
