Sea World Ship MGG talks to you today about nautical accessories... some of these have just been presented at the Mets in Amsterdam...
U Safe, the intelligent lifesaver
The product is as simple as it is ingenious: a U-shaped lifebuoy that incorporates two water-jet engines that can be controlled by a remote joystick. So in the event of a man overboard you can reach him even in rough seas and in difficult conditions, just "guide" the life jacket towards him using the joystick.
Now the U Safe life jacket, awarded in 2019 at the DAME in its first version, has improved its performance, integrating a new lithium battery capable of guaranteeing an autonomy of more than 40 minutes and a better range, which now reaches 3, 2 miles. The lifebuoy weighs 13 kg, reaches a speed of 15 km/h (which is halved when carrying a person) and is recharged thanks to an induction plate connected to its support. Another new feature is the smartphone application which allows you to always know the state of charge and health of the batteries of the life jacket connected to the network.
Integrel, the ecogenerator
In fact, it is a less expensive alternative - in the long run - to a generator to have electricity on board. Now the company has taken a step further. Thanks to Integrel Inline the dimensions of the "alternator system" are much smaller and installation is easier even on smaller boats. Integrel Plus, on the other hand, is a module that allows you to use the stored energy to drive the boat electrically. A sensor that analyzes navigation allows the e-drive function to be activated only when system performance is at top. Furthermore, Integrel has also launched the Plus module to bring its technology to the world of motor boats.
The plug-and-play watermaker
With Schenker's new Wiki portable watermaker you can have fresh water on board any vessel without having to install a bulky and heavy machine. Wiki is activated in just a few minutes, simply through the quick-connect fittings. Furthermore, you can choose to activate it only when needed, for example when you are stopped at anchor, and it can be easily transported on and off the boat (or from one boat to another) with the appropriate bag.
