Omikron Yachts is ready for a strong start to 2024. The new brand from the established Olympic Marine shipyard will bring its first production model, the OT60, to Düsseldorf for BOOT 2024.
Defining a new category of yacht, the new model's first appearance at the world's largest yacht and water sports show marks its exit from the Mediterranean into a wider market. The remarkable growth of the OT60 and its unique concept is driven by the universal desire for a simple and sensible vision of sustainability.
Omikron Yachts will present the OT60 at BOOT Düsseldorf 2024, which will take place from 20 to 28 January. The shipyard's inaugural model offers a unique and desirable hybridization: the efficiency and silence of a sailing yacht with the volumes and comfort of a motor yacht.
In line with the yacht's dual identity, which is aimed at yachtsmen from both schools, it will be displayed in the sailing section of the show. Indeed, owners who value sailboats for their pleasant and efficient cruising pace may find their needs better met by the OT60.
Thanks to small engines optimized for cruising at 8-13 knots and up to 15 knots for fast passages, the OT60 can travel up to 1000 nautical miles on a single tank at 8 knots, consuming just 1.5 liters per nautical mile .
The key to achieving these results is the custom hull designed by Juan-K, a renowned studio specializing in the design of high-performance racing sailboats, which will be visible to the public for the first time in Düsseldorf, thanks to the dry-dock format of the boat show.
A testament to the capabilities of the Omikron Technical Department, the OT60 is an elegant eco-cruiser, inspired by the lifestyle of the eastern Mediterranean islands and attractive to shipowners around the world, thanks to its versatility and practicality.
The interior and exterior design is the work of Lorenzo Argento, who studied the project around the objective of a beautiful journey, which he achieved both in appearance and in reality. Unexpected spaces play an important role, such as the two-story guest annex and the highly functional roof arrangement.
The Ciarmoli Queda studio designed the interiors with natural materials, neutral colors and tactile finishes, making every space and surface on board comfortable and inviting.
