Thanks to Marseille's internationally renowned experience in hosting and organizing sailing-related events, the city and its Marina offer an ideal venue for sailing competitions with the Paris 2024 Games.

For the Games, the Roucas-Blanc Marina, the starting point for the boats , will be adapted to host a competition on the scale of the Olympic Games. The program involves the design of approximately 7,000 m2 of buildings and the reorganization of 17,000 m2 of outdoor spaces, as well as the redevelopment of the basin itself, transforming it into an exceptional competition venue.

The strong potential of the existing site, with its exceptional exposure on the Marseille Corniche, will allow the thousands of spectators who make the trip in 2024 to follow events up close. The quality of the water conditions off Marseille, with relatively constant winds and a coastal configuration correctly oriented with respect to the prevailing winds, without currents or tides, will guarantee ideal tactical and strategic conditions for the competitors.
