Nautor Swan is completing the final assembly of its Swan 88 hybrid. The first model from the shipyard that will feature mixed thermal-electric propulsion, paving the way for electric Swans.
The boat, after completing the painting process, left the shed where it was photographed for the first time.
Described as an "uncompromising cruiser with a racing soul", the Swan 88 will have a four-metre draft, with options for a shallow-draft, telescopic and performance keel.
The yacht is also designed to guarantee maximum comfort during navigation, an automatic system guarantees the boat a maximum heel of 20 degrees, beyond which the boat does not go. Designed for the water lines and style by German Frers and for the interiors by Misa Poggi, the 88, like all Nautor boats, will stand out for its elegance and sobriety.
The boat has a large owner's suite and four guest cabins, plus there is a crew area that can accommodate four people.
Aft, the cockpit features a new roof design with an integrated windshield, a bimini and modular benches that can be arranged in flexible configurations, from lounging to formal dining.
The maneuvering area is positioned centrally, while a new beach club area is located at the stern with access to the water, onto which there is a large garage for tenders and toys.
A final area which is described by the yard as a "sunset lounge", is located in front of the tree.
The Swan 88 is expected to be one of four large yachts currently under construction at the Finnish facility.
