Plectrum arriving in 2025, Lazzarini Design
A 74-metre superyacht with 15,000 horsepower powered by hydrogen, capable of reaching 140km/h on the water.
It's called “ Plectrum ” and was designed - by the Lazzarini Design studio - inspired by the design of the latest America's Cup sailboats. Instead of being pushed by the wind, the superyacht is propelled by three hydrogen-fueled engines of 5,000 horsepower each.
She is a super light yacht, made from a dry carbon fiber composite and can reach an estimated top speed of 75 knots. It has a draft of 6.5m and a beam (the wooden beam that joins the opposite sides of a ship) adjustable up to 20m which can be reduced to 15m when the yacht is moored or at anchor. The yacht's living spaces are divided over four decks, with the main body offering six guest cabins and an owner's suite.
Other "gems": Plectrum has 4 floors, in the main one there are 6 guest cabins and an owner's suite. There are two garages, one in the center for two dinghies and another in the back for other vehicles, including cars. There is even space for helicopters to land!!
