In the 2020 list, the largest yacht is the new "REV Ocean", where REV stands for Research Expedition Vessel. The construction was commissioned by the Norwegian billionaire Kjell Inge Røkke.

The mega yacht will serve as a research vessel to study the health of our seas carrying 54 scientists and 30 crew members on board. In addition, it will also be rented for three months a year - obviously to guests who can afford it.
