The Made in Italy of luxury boating exhibits a new yacht destined to mark a turning point in terms of "quality of life" aboard a 15-meter boat (to be precise 15.33x4.29). We are referring to the Ferretti 500, which in the original plans was to be, already last September, one of the protagonists of the Cannes Motor Show, then canceled due to the spread of the pandemic; it would have been nice to see it in Genoa, in October, in the show staged "despite everything", but the historic shipyard that gives its name to the mega group controlled by the Chinese of Weichai has decided to allocate only a patrol boat for the carabinieri, nor was participation in the newborn Bologna Boat Show reserved for boats no larger than 18 meters taken into consideration.
And therefore the presentation of the new entry level of the range takes place through press releases and “remote” information. Although it is not a very large boat (15 meters is the minimum size of Ferretti production) and with a flybridge, it has slender shapes and very spacious interiors, like in a comfortable residence overlooking the sea.
All this is the result of the collaboration between the strategic product committee chaired by Piero Ferrari, the engineering department of Ferretti Group, the architect Filippo Salvetti for the exteriors and the Ideaeitalia studio for the interiors. The exteriors take up the philosophy inaugurated with the latest models in the range, integrating it with some interesting innovations, such as the design that enhances the synthesis between classic and modern, with all in all traditional shapes but enhanced by an aerodynamic profile of the hull and the enhancement of the windows, characterized by long and tapered shapes.
The interior style embraces the values expressed by the Just Like Home claim: timeless design, comfort, craftsmanship, Italian style. "The spaces - the designers stressed - have been designed to offer the owner the opportunities of a larger boat".
On the lower deck, you can choose between two different layouts: one has a large master cabin and a VIP cabin, both with private bathrooms and a small laundry; the other includes a master cabin, a VIP and a double with two single beds and two bathrooms (both with large windows)
